Case Scenario

A silly blur vainpot Sarah Sotong Yeo, 27 yo Female, admitted to your clinic with following complaints:
(1) Increasing pain over naval region
(2) Slough seen
(3) Redness around navel ring
(4) ring "pops" out accidentally
(5) No fever

Dr: Good afternoon Sotong Yeo, how can I help you?
Sotong: Naval pain...
Dr: K, firstly, do you have any drug allergy?
Sotong: Nope...

After interviewing patient and seeing the site of complaint..
You should have your diagnosis!!!



INFECTED NAVEL RING!


Dr: Ms Sotong, No fever right? Meaning it's just localised infection not really systemic. I would advise you to remove the ring and start a course of antibiotics.
Sotong: Hah... Can I keep it on? I Love it so much!
Dr: Nope you gotta take it out!!!

By this time after advise,
Prescribe Sotong with Antibiotics!!!
