After collecting my photos, met up with Josephine!!
She bought a pair of Levi's jeans and a new cap!!! Look so nice on her, I like it too.
Her first treat: Fried Mars bar and curry chicken chunks at Far East.. Superb! The curry chicken with cheese dip sound weird rite? But the taste is unique! Love it..
Our meeting is short but an enjoyable one...

Had a nice talk with her too.
Don't know why after my night and the quarrel with Spoonky, I found myself plunged into depression...
Was kind of sad over what Jos said. I am not like what she thinks...
Yah, I agree I can be quite extreme at times.. I am super straight forward kind of girl.. If I don't like, you force me also no use I will even show it out to let you know.... If I like, I will give you all my best.. I know I can't be like that. I'm also trying. I also wish 3 of us to be best of friends.....
Sometimes good friends are like that rite? When Cat is too close with Ivy, I get jealous too.. When I found out she went to Bintan with Evelyn, I am jealous + angry too.. Treated her as one of my best friend liao. I cried the whole night, till my eyes swollen and headache.. So sad.... really down. Seems that no one understand me. Sudden urge to run to Cat and pour out my feelings. Only she will understand.
Spoonky said must be my holiday mood over. Singapore so up tight. Stressed up momentum is surrounding..
Maybe when I feel better, I will find the above thoughts stupid and childish. Maybe.... But for now, no... I am still depressed.

me n my temper

Finally my last night... The 2 previous night is super tiring... Attended to lots and lots of call bells. Past 2 days while sleeping, I can still hear the "ding...... dong.........." It keeps ringing. Freaking!!! Thought I'm still at work.
Maybe that is why I am very irritated by mini stuff. Stuff which normal Sarah won't mind. I flared at my nan ren.. Now he is angry with me, refused to give in to me... Yah, I'm also ignoring him.

But no matter what, I still love him very much...


Maybe for now, I just want him to pamper me...

Adventurous Bangkok Trip

So happy.. Our first trip!

Day One

Super long wait at check point. They are upgrading a new system.. Got view cam one leh! Then waited another hour in the bus waiting for more people so FON (full Of Nonsense). Jam as it is peak hours on friday some more.. Drop people at Arnoma Hotel. Another hour wasted. Super jam cars can't even move. We got to ask the driver to send our luggage first! SUPER DRAMA right?

Clever Sarah brought Catherine to take train. We went to MBK shopping mall.. Shop, shop, shop then dinner at food court! Yummy!

SUPER SUPER DRAMA NIGHT

After clowning, I decided to bathe. Halfway, the water pressure gets weaker and weaker.. My! No water. Cat help me to call room service! Know what? Whole of the area/district NO WATER. DRAMA hor? Seen in drama serials, Me with unwashed shampoo, soap over my body! Cat was laughing and laughing! I couldn't help it too! Eventually we had to make a personal trip down to reception. Me (no bra and panties cos super sticky with dried up soap~can you imagine?) in shorts, jacket covered in towel with slippers, marched down to complain! People looking lor! Promise will fix but need 1 hour! Damn. Wait and wait still no water. Called for help, they offered warm water. Thought at least a bucket. NO! 1 miserable glass bottle of mineral water! Language problem? Rationing is tough you know.. Luckily we bought 2 1.5L of mineral bottles, and boiled warm water. Should be enough.. Pathetic. One cup for brushing teeth one cup for washing face. Bottle for me to clean up! Argggghhhh!!! Finally drama ended and luckily we had a good sleep. Singaporeans are lucky... Made me more zhen xi my life at home. Woke up the next day, heng... the water is on again! Cat rushes for a good clean up! Me? Luxurious bath I had! Can send in script for TV channel already!

Wake up early for Chakchunchat market! So excited. Stupid cabby spoilt our mood. Promise us 20Baht we thought great deal. But when we got in, he claims that weekend market not opened will bring us elsewhere. Of course we run out and got another cab! Shop till we drop! Great findings! Super cheap. No time to take pics also. Hot weather. Actually we can still shop but what we have in our hands made us difficult to squeeze through the crowd! Decided to put our stuffs in the hotel then go Pratunam wholesale market for second round-uneventful... most shops are closed.

By the time around 5 plus, we head to Chinatown for a sumptous dinner. Super full!

Tried to be adventourous by going to Patpong... I remembered there is shopping area.. Another stupid cabby again, took us to the Red light district! So many girls, Ah Guas sitting outside waiting for clients! We walked at main streets to avoid them! Suddenly, a guy touched my hand! I jumped and worried that they will scratched my skin or inject any viruses lor! Luckily I'm fine.

Encounters with cab drivers was a wonderful experience. Some were super good. Knew we were on our toes but they reassured us. One incident: we conversed in Mandarin. Told Cat if anything, there is an umbrella behind. In case, I'll whipped it out and bang his head! Think he knew and ask us to trust him. Pai seh leh! Another one: He stopped at petrol station wanted to pee. In Singapore, who does that? I bluffed him stating that we are meeting our guy friends and we are rushing... Clever hor. So he can't do anything to us.. Then Cat asked me to leave the door ajar just in case... I pushed the door so hard that it bangs at a bike! That frightened all of us! As usual, me and Cat starts giggling...

Made our last minute shopping at MBK again! Finally packed our stuffs, preparing for home...

In the van to the airport, made 2 friends... Michael and Tony. So friendly..

It is really a nice trip! Catherine is a great companion. She complemented me. No choice I had to be the up tight or else... She compliment me of being clever and can be a good tour guide lor!

Next trip in mind: Beijing!!!!

Before I leave, got to spend quality time with Roy.. He is so cute. Realised I love him alot, don't think I would do those stuff for other guys, not even for myself I think. Eg: Roy hungry, buy food for him. If for myself, cook maggie mee liao... Didn't sleep well last nite. He got up quite frequent. His back is aching and going to toilet. Me super worried..

Activities of the day:

• Brunching with Josephine and got Roy's share too.

• Withdraw money.

• VICKS lozenges for Roy's sore throat.
• Reached Poy's place for nap.

Roy is discharged from Changi.. Fast rite? My darling is still super tired, sleep and sleep.
Me too.. Waked up early at to go NSC for my first appointment for my hair..
I didn't know there is a penalty for being late.. I was late for 30 minutes cos super tired, overslept.

My! How to fetch my darling on time? Asked for help and Jessica-very kind.. Allowed me to see Dr after that. (Sarah dare not be late again)
At first I was worried as Dr worried might be abnormal hormones. Looks like guy problem.... OMG! But after confirming with Consultant, heehee... normal female problem. (Sarah feels relieved)
Took 10 mls of blood from me. $100 plus for that day ok? So expensive.. Luckily my company subsidising.. Or else broke.
Got the prescribed tonic water from the pharmacy. Hope that works..
Finally reached CGH before 1pm, just in time to bring Roy home...

Got to wake up early to accompany my Roy to Changi as planned. Reached there as early as 8am. He is so thoughtful.. Though he supposed to be fasted for his op, he sat with me for my breakkie..

Left around 10.30am for my karaoke session with this hot mum-to-be! She can sing very well! My, I'm really surprised she can hold her voice so high! So happy to see her and the baby!! *Sarah wished to be Mrs Ong and have baby Spoonky*

Roy went for his reconstruction around 12noon.

Back at 6.30pm.. So late. He was really drowsy, kind of concussed into deep sleep. His mum and I didn't dare to wake him up..

Even the bright yellow roses can't shine him up.. Hope the roses will get his recognition tomorrow.

After his mum left at 7pm, Roy woke up 7.45pm. Catch his 3 spoonful of home-made fish porridge, he puked on my hands!!! That 1/4 full of vomitus supposed to go in the bag!

So sad to see him in pain.. I am a nurse yet I feel so hopeless. Unable to relieve his pain and cannot pee on his behalf.. Guess he is still struggling. After op, urinary retention is common yet super irritating. Can imagine? You want to pee yet something is preventing it to come out? Hope he is well to joke with me tomorrow. I feel so sad and started weeping. I stayed with him, yet cannot do anything. Fed him, yet he vomitted . Offered him urinal , yet he can't pee. Help him with his medications, yet can alleviate his pain.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. Sad, helpless and hungry me.

If he is for home tomorrow, smiles will follow....

Bikini today?

Lightning? Thunder? Rain? Argggghh!!!!!!!!! Super irritated lor. Brought my NUM bikini and it is raining. Heavy downpour. Waked up early and it is already super cold. Sad.
NO SUN, NO SAND, NO SEA, NO TAN, NO BIKINI! *Sarah stamping her foot*

As a compensation, watching "Into the blue" might make my day better cos can see the sun, the sand and the sea. Not forgetting seeing Jessica Alba in bikini *Sarah is jealous of her nice body!* Interesting show, good plot though predictable. *Sarah gives 3.5 stars*

*reached Muthu's curry! So damn hungry! Luckily the food was served fast! Nasi byrani.. Though not a big fan but delicious! See that cabbage dish? Not my favourite. When eaten, it starts to trigger my wheezing action!* *Sarah is not asthmatic*

*fish head curry, main dish of the day. Nice but not spicy leh. *Sarah gives it 3 stars* Tandori chicken (best eaten with the green yoghurt stuff)*

*plain naan my favourite food of the day so must enlarged the pic!!!! Yummy best eaten when served hot!! Soft and chewy. Burnt parts are cripsy. I even had the second order! Full stomach also must swallow in. Roy's favourite too.* *Sarah gives 5 stars and drooling at the same time*

Clever Roy made reservations or else grumpy + hungry + PMS Sarah will appear! Watched TV that day and saw the restaurant being interviewed. After that my craving starts!

After our dinner, went to Mustafa and around Little India to shop shop. Was so fascinated by Mustafa. Lots of stuff! Laughing all the way.. Didn't know they got sell all kinds of branded watches and even at cheaper price!

Post dinner evaluation: We are thirsty throughout the night!

Finally I AM GOING ON LEAVE!! Had to work for 3 more days and I'll disappear for a week. Nowadays, working is so tiring... Plan my week ahead and things seems to be interesting!


SUNDAY (16/10/05)

It's my off day of the week.
Spoonky will bring me to Sentosa for a relaxed, tanning Sunday. He needs to be operated on Tuesday. After that he would be ambulating around with crutches! Finally can wear my NUM bikini.. So happy.

MONDAY (17/10/05)

Made an appointment for my makeover today! So excited about it. The moment I think of Rosaline wearing bridal gown, makes me feel so pretty! Looking forward for this day!

TUESDAY (18/10/05)

Roy will be admitting himself to Changi General Hospital today. His ACL snapped twice! Now he needs to do the op in case he got early arthritis! His knee will give way if he delays it! Got to wake up early to accompany him to Changi! No worries for me in getting bored. I got khakis there to disturb! That reminds me to call Pei Si out for a coffee or lunch break.
(thinking off sneaking out to shop shop while he is operating...)

WEDNESDAY (19/10/05)

Now it is my turn to go to visit a doctor or I should say: Specialist.
MY HAIR keeps falling off!!!! The patch over my left parietal seems to be bigger. Everyone who knows commented that! Dear God, I don't even know what is happening. Consulted few scholar doctors in my ward. Possible reasons:

1. Stress-related (Sarah says she is stressed but how can hair drop over one particular site?)
2. Shampoo I'm using (Sarah says she changed form Pantene to Loreal just in case)
3. The hair product I used when I had my curls (Sarah says she snipped the curls to prevent further damage)
4. The clay product that I used now (Sarah says she tries to avoid the scalp and the balding site-clay is important for her to style her hair!)
5. Underlying medical conditions that I didn't know (Sarah prays hard)

Went to my GP and they referred me to hair clinic at National Skin Center. Prescribed me multi-vits with zinc, which till now, it is still lying in the pharmacy. *I know I deserve a scolding for being lazy to collect* Appointment at 8 am!! So early! Will go Changi after that and update my concerned Roy..

THURSDAY (20/10/05)

Visit Roy KIV bringing him home cos he might be discharging. After that will go home to pack my luggage and have a early night sleep. Going to Bangkok with my best bud Cat! (Sarah knows she just came back from Hong Kong)

FRIDAY (21/10/05)

Departure date! Will reach Bangkok around 3pm. Dump our barang barang and shop at MBK! Dinner at Chinatown!

SATURDAY (22/10/05)

Shop shop shop at Chakchunchat market. Whole day there! Not forgetting dinner again at Chinatown!

HOME SWEET HOME.. Fly to meet Roy when things are settled..

Yah it is monday blues!! We had to be in our blue scrubs today.... ER hah? It was like 6:30am and still had to smile and look happy :)
Soak Buay working nite shift so she was kinda excused to wear that!
Joke of the day: "2 person thought that I'm actually a doctor!" Hehehe.. One of them is my Consultant and the other is a patient! Of course got to explain myself!
Kinda thinking the scrubs is not doing our figure justice! And can imagine? I will eat & eat without worrying if I would grow fat! It is super baggy! No way, must make sure I weigh myself regularly! Miss my uniform liao cos I will know when I'm losing or gaining just like SARS period. We wore plain white T-shirt with blue drawstring pants! And during that time all our meals + supplements are sponsored by the kind public. So we had to eat to boost up our immune system!
(And to those who had understood us and stood by us during that time, a BIG THANK YOU to you guys! MUACKS! It is thru your support that motivates us!)
When I was interviewed by the media, I did not even told my friends or family! Luckily I was wearing a mask! Hahaha... Now you guys know I'm the chubby one ya?
And can anyone guess what size I wore? XS (looks like XL to me) Was flattered that some commented I look nice in scrubs!
Hmmm dun know if I should alter to a fitting one.. Spoonky definitely objects cos he said: Please don't alter it is supposed to be baggy and you look nice!

Always love to look at this big "THANK YOU " board that is made up of individual postcards of different people. This warms my heart and makes my job feels appreciated..

BORING SUNDAY

Who works on sunday? Me! Super super sad.. Everyone is going shopping, having fun. Me work. One off per week, there seems no life. Lucky I have Roy or else I can't have the time to find a boyfriend!

Went to SNAILS for a good pampering session! Wow their service very good. They are very professional and passionate about their job. Red nail colour (an'ge something) will be my next!

Force Josephine to try Birkenstock sandals and she went crazy, cos all of them looks nice on her feet. Our worst nightmare came true : her nail polish got stained off! Nice Eileen help to restore the colour back.. (though knew that she quite pissed off!) She even know we tried shoes..Haha thought we can bluff our way through.

Really enjoyed going out with her! Love her so much she is such a darling.. Too bad her exams coming and no more chance in the near future. Must 'tahan' till she finish them all. Good luck to her exams. Sure she will score with flying colours cos she very intelligent.
