I've got something better than 'the most stylish nurse award' *shy*
I guess it's a huge event and will be dropping by at Meritus Mandarin for a DnD award!
Seems like all the MOH pple will be there~
Heehee.. And apparently, I think I'm the most junior one? Hmm. Not too sure though.
Boss hoped that this award will be a motivation for me to get going, finding my lost sparkle..
It is not about the money, not about the badge.
It is about our commitment in Nursing....

So,
- Have you ever been punch by someone?
- Have you ever been spat at?
- Have you ever been tortured by someone's nail sank deep in your skin while helping a doctor to hold him/her down to take his/her urgent blood? And you still had to console him/her?
- Have you ever been threatened by an angry relatives when his/her ridiculous demands are not met?
- Have you ever been scolded:"Get lost else I'm angry" by someone you didn't even know and still had to smile and say:"Ok, I will but let me help your dad/mum first?"
- Have you ever been enduring your urine/bowels to instead helping others to clear theirs first then you make a quick toilet break?
- Have you ever burst out crying infront of someone you didn't even know when he/she said:"I'll send in lawyer letter to sue you for you-don't-even-what-happen issues and it is not even your fault?
- Have you ever been cursed by a confused patient for helping them?
- Have you ever know how to identify the smell of different diarrhea?
- Have you ever known that when a patient arrived in your ward, you will forsee how long he/she will stay?
Well, if you had experienced that,
Congratulations, you have been through NURSING.
Of course, it is not as bad as I wrote. There are sweet moments when patients hug me, kiss me and even remember me when they saw me!
Here's what an elderly por-por said to me:"Thank you very much... I had nothing to buy for you but I'll always pray that you marry a good husband."
I think I did..
Thank you...
You might think it's small little gesture. But to us, it means alot.
To be able to assist them on their road to recovery and you sharing the most important and saddest moments of their life.
Kaliamah, the most dedicated, hardworking and responsible nurse!! I love working wih her!!
